Hubee D’s pronounced hew-bee dees, is the brainchild of Chef Dana Sinkler and John Ferguson. Dana’s family goes back many generations in Charleston and he was able to acquire his grandmother’s recipe for fried chicken and smoked wings. This recipe propelled them to create a fast/casual dining experience with sides such as boiled green peanuts, hand-cut fries, homemade coleslaw and a fried banana pudding that will make you come back again and again. Working with Dana and John has been a testament to great client communication and a willingness to go the extra mile. Our good friend, David Boatwright painted the mural (awesome) and another good friend Reggie Gibson, of Gibson Guest Architects, designed the restaurant(awesome). All of us have collaborated on many restaurant projects from dives to white tablecloths. Oh yea, and my friend and genius music maker Bill Carson did their jingle. Check it out next time you go. A cool place. Hubee D’s! It’s Deelicious!
